What brought me to yoga

I’ve been into movement since I was 5, when my mum took me to after school gymnastics classes to get rid of my always-on-the-move nature.

I ended up doing gymnastics, dancing and in 2014 I discovered Yoga and how good it made me feel especially during/although lockdowns.

Being true to myself, I wanted to learn more, discover more, understand more in depth why practising yoga was feeling so beneficial, what was all about, and how it has the power of impacting the wellbeing and the feeling of a person. Guided by this thirst for knowledge and my intuition, I found an online Traditional Yoga Teacher Course from India, which I chose for my own personal discovery and self-actualisation alongside with a better understanding of mindfulness. It comes from within that I have since pursued Yoga full time to share it!

Expanding the mind, self-awareness and peace of mind are paramount for me.

My strongest desire is to accompany people into their wellbeing journey, both physically and energetically, and gaining/reinforcing self-confidence. Next, first and foremost, to learn how to put the mind at ease. With a peaceful mind, things look clearer and for what they really are without any commentary self limiting internal speeches. And this is the base to reach a sense of beatitude.

My classes will make you feel relaxed but energised, lighter but grounded. Harmonised, centred, motivated, full of positivity and clarity, and challenged - the same way that I was - together with carrying over a sense of harmony with you throughout the day and the whole week.

Started teaching straight after my qualification to really give out all the good I have taken in during my course, studies and experience, and this is what really matters to me and what reaches to people and is appreciated by my yogis.

What yoga taught me

After being on a long therapy journey, I learnt that yoga was the right complement to that. It further clarified me on how mind and body are strictly connected and that the holistic approach together with the self-awareness/discovery are the only way to attain the inner peace and the harmony within us and with the outside world.

And also, that the breathing is powerful

That mindfulness and meditation are powerful

The inner harmony from within is powerful

And, yet, also that in those days where I feel hyperactive and in a fidgeting-like mood and stillness seems impossible to achieve, well, it is not impossible, it still happens and is, again, the right and much needed complement to dynamism.

My journey

Life is weird, isn’t it. But the fate is clear and manifests quite clearly. If you miss out on one sign, feel reassured that it will manifest again until you are ready for the change. In Italy we say:”Going out from the door, and coming back again in from the window” to simply mean that something, like a project for example, that was underestimated in the past will invariably find other ways to show up again in the more or less near future.

Well, after being employed in different offices, but always and constantly pursuing on the side my passion for wellbeing, dancing, mind and body connection, movement exploration, attending yoga classes ever since and observing human emotions, during the lockdown, although all the downsides of it, I felt a call to yoga even more and here I am into the practicing and teaching of it that includes all the above.

I can’t do without of persistently having the thirst for new knowledge and believing that communities and real connections can make a difference in the world. Dreamer?
